Soy arquitecto, historiador e ilustrador.

Mi historia gráfica The Black Cats apareció en The Funambulist (2025). A room is not a house or Banham’s latest nightmare.

I am an architectural designer, historian, and illustrator. I research, write, and draw stories where architecture, politics, and affect meet.

PhD in Architecture, Penn State, as a Fulbright fellow (2026); Master of Architecture, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2017); Professional degree in Architecture, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (2013).

My dissertation, Architectural Education Under the Iron Fist, is a history of the experiences of students and professors in Chile’s architecture schools under the dictatorship; it received a Citation of Special Recognition from the Graham Foundation’s Carter Manny Writing Award (2024). Earlier I published the book Cambiar de vida (LOM, 2022), on the Valparaíso school of architecture between 1967 and 1973.

My graphic story The Black Cats appeared in The Funambulist (2025). I received third place at the Penn State Graduate Exhibition (2025) for presenting my research as a graphic novel, and a Special Mention from Architizer (2023) for the illustration A room is not a house or Banham’s latest nightmare.

I have designed architecture around the world. Since 2018, as an independent consultant for OBMI, Miami, I have led conceptual design projects in the Middle East, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States. In Chile, I have designed works such as El Zaguán del viento, in Independencia, and Casa Croasán, in Puerto Natales.

I have taught architecture since 2016, in Chile, the United States, and South Korea. Placing great value on representation and drawing as tools for design and narrative, I teach design methodologies that conceive the architectural piece from affective and collective experiences. In theory courses, I explore the intersections of design, architecture, and politics, particularly in authoritarian contexts.
